Are you having download problems on the PSPS web page? Perhaps the following will assist. It is suggested that you read everything before clicking links or perhaps print this page. Most documents with links on the PSPS web site need to be accessed by a suitable reader (for pdf files). For these types of files, click of scroll down to PDF for further advice. For other file types click or scroll to OTHER.

1. Adobe Reader is the most common form of reader and most computers come preloaded with suitable software. |
|
2. Don’t know whether you have a suitable reader? To determine whether you have such a reader click here and: |
|
a. If a document opens, then congratulations you have the reader and can return to browsing the PSPS web page and opening its documents. |
|
b. If a document fails to open and you get the dreaded The page cannot be displayed message then you do not have a reader or a suitable reader on your computer. Go to 4 below. |
|
3. If you want to check whether you have the latest version in the Reader window click Help and then About Acrobat and it will show you a version number. At the time of preparing this page, the latest version was 9. |

4. To obtain a suitable reader free of charge click: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html: |
|
b. The link above will download the latest version of the reader, which at the time of preparing this page was version 9. Most documents on the PSPS site require version 6 or later. Many older computers run version 4. Update by clicking the link above. |
|
c. After clicking the link, there are quite a few instructions to follow. Go through them methodically and allow a time for the downloads to occur. |
|
5. If you have difficulties then ensure your computer is running, bring your phone to your computer and ring Paul Summers on (07) 5447 1015. |
Other |

1. A variety of other files are in use and the instructions are usually on the relevant page. |

2. If the reference is to an animated web presentation, then the following advice may assist: |
|
a. To use the animated version you need broadband and must be running a reasonably recent browser (e.g. internet explorer 6 or later, IE7 is the latest, get it here). It will run slowly on dial-up. b. Click the presentation link that you want to access on the PSPS page. c. Dependent on whether you have visited a page using this technique before, there may be a Microsoft browser add-in to run (an active-X control), look for the warning bar at the top. Click the warning bar, then click run. You may have to do this twice. d. The presentation will then open: · To activate the animation in the slides, click in the slide (in the right frame). One click for each item of animation. · When animation stops after clicking in the right frame, click the next slide (in the left frame). · And so on ... |
